We are planning over 4 acres of wild meadows on the grasslands surrounding our High Ercall sites.
We are planning bee hives at our High Ercall site so look out for some yummy honey..........
We are also working with Telford Council to plant wildflower meadows on the roundabout and verges adjacent to our Stafford Park site.
We recycle all our cardboard in the Stafford Park warehouse and are looking to expand this across all sectors.
We are committed to our Pallet Networks multi hub approach which has been designed to minimise miles travelled per pallet.
We are supporting the Friends of Telford Town Park on nature based projects.
We are swapping out our fleet to run the most environmentally friendly trucks available in the UK today.
We are always on the look out for new projects to support nature in our area so if you have any ideas don't be shy in letting us know.
Serving Our Planet in a Small Way Where We Can With the Friends of Telford Town Park (FOTTP) – 2nd Working Party Saturday September 14th.
Simmonds are helping to fund improvements to a beautiful area with a pool in the park needing a bit of tlc and to help with enjoyable and productive labour on various working party mornings.
The plan is to bring in more wildlife and improve accessibility for people to share and enjoy.
FOTTP are holding a working party on Saturday September 14th in the Crannog to begin preparations for the improvements to be funded by Simmonds Transport.
The 1st Working Party was held on Saturday 17th August and was a great success and Adrian Smith, Chairman of FOTTP states “I must say a huge thank you to all who helped on the day”
A plan of the work to be done in September will be shared closer to the time.
If anyone wants to come along to help that would be fantastic. There is no pay but anyone who does help from 9am to 12noon will be given a half days holiday in lieu.
Friends and family are also very welcome.
We are meeting at Grange Pool car park at 9 am until approx 12 noon.
Just wear normal work clothes and good shoes. Bring a drink and snacks if required.
Post code for the car park is TF3 1EA - Car parking is free.

Simmonds are helping top fund improvements to a beautiful area with a pool in the park needing a bit of tlc.
The plan is to bring in more wildlife and improve accessibility for people to share and enjoy.
FOTTP are holding a working party this Saturday August 17th in the Crannog to begin preparations for the improvements to be funded by Simmonds Transport.
We will be looking at general tidy up this week and also looking at getting willow ready for repairs to the willow arch. If weather permits starting on the bug trap doors as well.
If anyone wants to come along to help that would be fantastic. There is no pay but anyone who does help from 9am to 1pm will be given a half days holiday in lieu – Bart will be there with his little daschund Reggie so he’ll keep a record of who is there.
Friends and family are also very welcome.

Our 'Serving the planet where we can' progress
We have started turning over the the fields around our High Ercall Site in preparation for planting the wild flower meadows.
We now have 5 working bee hives on site around our High Ercall site and at the adjacent farm.
